Summary

We are currently searching for  highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow, Research Associate and Research Assistant to join our research group. These opportunities are full-time positions, and they are onsite in Hong Kong. We are looking for a talented and driven young scientist that will work closely with project teams for exploring the mechanisms underlying the neuronal degeneration in retinitis pigmentosa and glaucoma, as well as pro-aging factors for the development of novel therapies for improving cognitive function in the aging brain.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Applicants are expected to demonstrate excellence in

a)  plasmid construction and extraction, siRNA construction, cell transfection, cell flow cytometry, primary cell culture.

b) RNA sequencing, RT-PCR, Western blot analysis and ELISA.

c) animal work, confocal microscopy and data analysis.

d) academic manuscript for publication and project proposals; and

e) any other duties assigned by the project leader.

Qualifications

Applicants for the Postdoctoral Fellow post should have a doctoral degree or an equivalent qualification in neuroscience, immunology, ophthalmology, or related disciplines, and must have no more than five years of post-qualification experience at the time of application.

Applicants for the Research Associate/Research Assistant post should have a Master’s degree or a good honours degree with three or more years of research/relevant work experience or an equivalent qualification in one of the afore-mentioned disciplines.

Applicants for the PhD post should have a Master’s degree or a good honours degree with three or more years of research/relevant work experience or an equivalent qualification in one of the afore-mentioned disciplines.
